Sid's Role In Parliament

Sid accepted the new position of Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry on 12 December 2012. Sid’s portfolio responsibilities are in the areas of forestry, dairy as well as skills and education in agriculture. The role also has other administrative duties, such as delivering legislation to the Governor General to be signed.
Sid remains committed to Braddon and will still be working very hard with his office for his constituents.
Sid's past parliamentary experience and expertise has seen him reappointed for a second term as a Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives
He has also been elected the Deputy Chairman of the new Regional Australia Committee, and will also sit on the Procedures Committee of Parliament.
In addition, Sid is a member of a number of Labor Caucus Committees associated with social, education, health, energy, primary industry and resource policy development.
